Still a work in progress, but rest assured the C-Stock train will be included (along with scenarios for it ) with the route update when it is released. So you'll be getting a pretty impressive package.

I saw on Alan Thomsons FB Group someone is working on District Line Destinations for the S8 by JT

Well, whoever that is we will be very grateful, but it isn't us, I'm afraid. In answer to your question though, we will be supporting the S-Stock and route updates are underway.

(Maybe as an idea) Would it be possible if you could include in your stocks a door control like in the JT S8? It would be really cool to control the doors regardless of an active boarding event and it would add a bit more realism!

Did you notice you can open the pax doors on a side that isn't against a platform? Not exactly realistic, as in real life CSDE would prevent that, else the train would not be allowed in service. That's why the "T" event always opens doors on the correct side - the CSDE functionality is built in to TS.
Doubtful we'd add this given our current workload, but I will put it on the wish list. Feature creep has a way of impacting goal dates and we really want to get the new updates finished :-)

Update from Darren re the C69. Still a work in progress but we're getting there. Amazing cab detail of an old train.

First Off I have to say the cab looks beautiful, very fantastic. Also It looks like to me the scenery for the upcoming build is more dense? I think the work on the route is amazing and I cannot wait to drive it!

Yes, work has been done to make the lineside scenery a little more comprehensive.

More progress on the C69. What was likely very un-obvious in Darren's video above is that was in large part a new train (DM and T) compared to previous videos and screenshots. Darren was quietly working on some updates and changes and finishing out the cab as regards all the controls animations, etc. There is even more detail in this cab, and more switches and buttons, than in our previous stocks. He has now handed the sources over to me for the next step in the process - which is to twiddle the physics stuff (weight, drag, TE, etc.), finalize many details, write LUA code to implement message passing between cars so various systems turn on/off as needed, the simulation LUA code that controls the train performance and makes all the cab controls and switches actually control train systems and features; and also all the audio heard outside or in-cab. And test runs and tweaks until it is right.
So there's still work to do, but a milestone happened yesterday with the Trailer car being completed as regards its appearance and all its systems, and being able to drop it into a scenario.
So while the above may look simply like 2 C69 Trailers coupled it represents a step in the C69 train creation process.
Richard designed and built a great train model, and Darren designed and implemented a highly detailed 3D cab - they are kind of the "Metro-Cammell" part of the process. I get to play "Acton Works" and mess with all the wiring and control systems and traction/braking so it runs like it should. Teamwork is how we get stuff done, and if we're quiet it usually means we're busy. And as we reach goals we show what we're doing.
More news as the DM gets finished and running...

Sounds Exciting! May I ask if we will be getting Double Ended units? so we can hook up a extra DM so we can have formations like DM TL DM TL TL DM or DM TL TL DM TL DM like in real life formations?

D78 can have double-ended units, C69 does not. Here's why:
A D78 is formed of 2 units of 3 cars each. The 3 cars are either DM-T-UNDM (single-end) or unusually DM-T-DM (double ended). So a D78 train is usually formed DM-T-UNDM+UNDM-T-DM or the rare double-ended DM-T-UNDM+DM-T-DM (or the same reversed).
Note that "-" represents a semi-permanent bar coupling that is hard to disconnect, whereas "+" represents a WedgeLock auto-coupler. In other words the 3-car unit stays intact unless repair/refurb work is needed on a specific car. The cars in a unit had corresponding numbers (last 2 digits are same), e.g. DM-T-UNDM might be 7012-17012-8012, and DM-T-DM might be 7504-17504-7505 (A and D end DM units).
A C69 train (H&C, Circle and District) is formed from 3 units of 2 cars each. The 2 cars are always DM-T (or if reversed T-DM). So a C69 train is formed either DM-T+DM-T+T-DM or DM-T+T-DM+T-DM (there must clearly be a DM car at each end, and the middle unit can work either way around).
As with the D78, the "-" represents a semi-permanent connection, and "+" an auto-coupler. So the 2-car units would stay intact, but the train could be formed from any 3 different units (C69 or C77). The unit also has corresponding car numbers e.g. DM-T 5510-5610 or T-DM 5617-5517.
So the short answer - the notion of double-ended can not exist for C69 as the units are 2-car, not 3-car; and the formations you cite are the only two possible C69 configurations.
Our C69 will have a PreLoad consist to create a 3x2 car train DM-T+DM-T+T-DM which you can reverse to get the other configuration. All cars will have random numbers assigned from the correct series, but as a scenario creator you can go a step further and number all the cars in a specific train correctly e.g. 5502-6502+5524-5624+5611-5511 (even numbers are the "A" end and odd numbers are the "D" end).

More progress. The DM is built and we can construct a train. In the shot below I'm testing various animations - doors, etc. I'm currently working on the new audio and a lot of LUA code to simulate all the systems and make all the controls work. As ever, more news as it happens...

More test runs, featuring Darren's rendition of a 50 year old cab. Amazing detail and atmosphere. This thing has seen some miles... And the main line compressor overcharge and train line gauge readout have since been fettled by the Acton Works crew:-)
This was going through Triangle sidings with the Offside cab light on. Just enough light to see by, and nice shadows.

West facing front DM 5539 destination ERD set 073. Initial destination embedded in car number string (RVNumber) = 5539Kahd
CIS panel. Destination can be changed via PGup/PGdn: Destination blind box with car number and destination window. Car number is automatically sourced from the car RVNumber string you assign.
East facing Mid DM car 5526: East facing Rear DM car 5504:

Looks Fantastic. But Quick Question. Why do we change destination via the PIS System and not the actual Blind Box? Is this due to game limitations?

Looks Fantastic. But Quick Question. Why do we change destination via the PIS System and not the actual Blind Box? Is this due to game limitations? Well technically (and correct me Jimi if I'm wrong) but what happens is you still change the destination with the blind box & PGUP/PGDN keyboard buttons but the destination on the PIS changes at the same time.
The PIS isn't controlling any announcements or anything like that, it's mostly aesthetic.

Xavier got it exactly right, re the implementation.
In the real C69 world, where the CIS panel and manual blind are two totally separate things, you would surely change both - right? And the blind in the rear cab. In the sim we could use different key commands to change the CIS and the Blind, but why? The objective is to change the destination - and have that appear in the 4 locations where it is displayed - front outside blind, in-cab blind box, CIS panel, and the rear car external blind. Hitting PGup/PGdn achieves all that with one command (and a load of LUA code to decode the car number, cycle through the destination list, send messages to all required devices in each DM, etc. so the displays are synchronized...). So we're not setting the destination via the PIS. We are simply setting or changing the destination and updating the places where it is displayed. It will save you a lot of [simulated] walking around the cab, and remembering to twiddle the blind when you change ends
(And Xavier said it far more succinctly that I have :-)

Final C69 testing. Waiting for the pilot light before heading into the gloom at HSK towards ERD.
And returning through Triangle Sidings. New illuminated destination blind looks good and can be switched on/off via the offside desk MCBs, as can other things. Lots of switches in this cab...

hi people any update on the c stock? See Alan Thomson's latest livestream on Twitch, or his videos which are PLANNED to go up tomorrow (Wednesday). He covers the C stock in those (I think he did in the stream and if not it will be in the new videos). -Peter
