First time I've run TS since the update. Straight away I noticed that my FOV was back to 65 when I loaded the Tangle scenario. This normally happens when you run a file integrity check and the engine lua script file in the Dev folder gets overwritten.
However, when I checked the script file lua it was still set to 80, so something else is telling TS to load the default 65. Until we've sorted out what is occuring , please be aware we are now on to it.

Perhaps it's because you can now change the FOV ingame?

Eddie, it was in the update that you can now change the FOV from the in-game options.

Duh, It's pretty obvious that I never knew this guys, it's a very cool feature then, since I find a lot of 3rd party payware trains have a field of view set so far back, it's akin to looking through a letterbox. I was quite surprised once I found myself in the seat of the S8 Stock that with such a huge windscreen, the FOV is set so far back that visibility of the track ahead is much reduced over our own D-Stock and C-Stock which preceded it. Still thanks for the reply everyone, if you don't ask the question .......................

An ageing quote from, ironically, the Great Underground Empire: “That’s not a bug, it’s a feature”
Read the 2020 release notes Ed. There’s a bunch of new graphics stuff in advanced menus. Some you don’t want to touch because it kills frame rates. There’s a good discussion about 2020 on UKTS.

Well we've been telling all of you to RTFM, its about time the physician went and healed himself. Since I assumed, no doubt that like many of you that this update was of little value other than a notion of keeping the program looking fresh, I never bothered to even read the release notes. Don't forget this program is now some 15 years old , so how much in the way of legs are left in it ? Seems I was wrong.
