The Virtual District Team exhibited our Phase 2 version of the VDL today at the LT Museum. The stand was very busy all day with enthralled youngsters who patiently waited in a long queue to operate a District or Piccadilly Line train. We met a number of enthusiasts who had downloaded our route already. Others had seen it on You Tube. We first started work on this 12 years ago, so it was a milestone for the Team. Whilst youngsters trained on the D Stock, Darren was building the next version of the D-Stock cab. It looked tremendous, a huge step up in realism. For those interested in the specs of the rig I brought along to run the route ( some people wanted to know ) Antec 1200 tower case modded to take a Cooler Master sealed liquid cooler for CPU, for OC. Asus Strix ROG 370 Motherboard. Samsung Evo 970 SSD M2 250 GB for Windows 10 Home Premuim 2 X 1 TB Hybrid Seagate HDDs with 32 MB cache. 16 GB 2666 MHZ Corsair Vengeance RAM Intel 8700-K 6 core CPU running at stock 3.7GHZ. Will be overclocked to 5 GHZ for future proofing. Gigabyte Aorus GeForce 1080 Ti with 11 GB onboard ram. It is a very powerful PC built for Flight Sim mainly. Here is a picture of the set up before the public were admitted.

And here is the Team in all their Glory.
That's Ed, Xavier, Richard & Darren. And somewhere behind them, ( to the left of Richard's right shoulder), is a photo of Jimi, who would have had rather a long journey to get there.
