Firstly, thank you for accepting my membership. Secondly I have spent a lot of time driving the route and really appreciate all the hard work which must have gone into creating it. However, I have hit a slight problem which I suspect is due to my end of things but I will explain as someone may have a suggestion. The issue is that on the Earl's Court-Edgware Rd section, the tunnel sections have no textures (Internal & external) and are showing the black/white/yellow face when a texture is missing, however the occlusion is there. The puzzling thing is is that in the editor the tunnels have the texture so it is only when driving that they are missing. I have all the requirements and tried a reinstall but the problem remains. Oddly enough, the tunnel coming out of Gloucester Rd (Which looks to be constructed in the same way as the other tunnels) is perfect, which makes me hesitate in thinking it is a graphics setting issue, particularly as there are no other missing pieces and the FPS are excellent. I know I have the assest for the tunnels as I have used the relevant bridges/sections when I have dabbled in route building, so it seems a bit of a puzzle.
I would appreciate any suggestions
Thanks

Hey there.
Would it be possible to ask if you could share some in-game screenshots with us? I personally find it easier to diagnose such problems with some sort of visual aid. You could either upload them and link them from an online photo hosting site or add them to a reply post in this thread as an attachment.

Interesting. I notice you're driving in winter. Is it the same if you drive in a different season?

just a small query here, have you got your scenery quality setting to maximum in the advanced graphics section? Have you got all the requirements for the route, Isle of Wight, London to Brighton, Just Trains London to Aylesbury OR Metropolitan Line ? Can you run a standard scenario without the issue ? I suspect you are in Quick Drive ?

I think I've solved it.
It appears that our tunnel is calling for a "winter" texture, which currently doesn't exist.
We'll have this fixed for the next update, which is coming very soon. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Wow, good work that man, and well done Jeff as well, no one had spotted this before. Computers are never wrong are they ?
In the Editor of course the seasons are not displayed.................................duh.

Thanks for posting this thread. It happened to me today, and my immediate reaction was that I was missing an asset - but I remembered reading this over the Xmas hols, and found it again. One thing piques my curiosity though. Now that we know all about this 'Winter mode' thing, and how stuff is rendered differently, will the VDL team be going through all the track sections to change the ones in tunnels, under bridges and inside covered stations to the 'no snow' versions of the track? That can't be a lovely task to have to do. If nobody volunteers, I would be willing to give it a try, if that would be acceptable. I won't touch anything unless told (no point in me doing it to a version that is presumably already older than the version on Xavier's development PC anyway). If you do take this on board, good luck, and thanks! I believe snow-clearing in Railworks Editor is probably about the closest you can get to 'virtual drudge work.'
