Well Ladies and Gentleman, as they say it is time the full figured woman sang. The last two years has not seen a great deal of progress. We had planned to fix the signal glitches but guess what? a lot of other developers have found exactly the same issues. Every time we fixed something that was broken, a new release of TS broke it again.
We had planned to have proper operating manuals in pdf format, we had planned to have a full roster of training scenarios to tax your skills.............. we had planned to do so much but in the end it has come down to what we have here. 52 miles of track and scenery of south west London, and west London.
From Ealing Broadway in the west, Richmond in the south west up to Gloucester Road and High St Kensington. The Olympia branch is fully modelled , as are all the depots ( Lillie Bridge is I feel outstanding ) and sidings. Acton Works , The London Transport Museum is there in full alongside Acton Town and of course the Ealing Common Depot. Earls Court Yard, Barons Court Sidings, Parsons Green Sidings.Triangle Sidings ( the old layout ) Even Chelsea Stadium or the Golden Palace of Light as Richard Scott referred to it, complete with pitch.
All gradients have been taken from documentation and physics of stock has been modelled to the nth degree by real world train operators. In short as authentic an experience as is possible within the confines of the sim. This is probably the only place, in the world, where you can take the controls of a D78 Refurb by now, and see Earls Court Exhibition halls as you leave Earls Court westbound.
I just need to test my own installation routine and email the rest of the team before I upload the link to the folder.
Stand By Your Beds.

Sorry guys I forgot to include the most important folder of all. VirtualDistrictTeam which should of course go into your assets folder because it contains a lot of important information like the route template and the track rules etc etc. Uploaded now and I've included some 2012 era Working Time table pdf's for the 3 lines that appear in this route. Central Line ( at EBDWY ) Piccadilly and DR. For scenario creators to make realistic rounders from. Please share them with us too.
At Ealing, I've used Gt Western track ( Oxford to Paddington ) for the NR that runs alongside the Central and District lines, because it was a default route at the time we built this. You might need to get that route if you want to see ALL the NR track and wire gantry's at Ealing Broadway. If you have NR track missing this is why. Once again my apologies to all who suffered at the hands of my ignorance.

No problem, somebody over at UKTS produced a replacement folder to get things going. Small thing but only the tail lights seem to work on the D-stock. Nice route captures the atmosphere well. There were a couple of issues with some assets being corrupted that fixes were provided for as well.

A big apology to everyone waiting for registration approval. I've never had to do this myself, but I just got you all approved to post etc. It appears I'm the last man standing here now. What I've learned over the last few days is to make sure your Railworks folder has Administator privileges, run serz.exe as Administrator ( set permissions ) Make sure your Anti virus program excludes Steam and all sub folders and don't forget to clear the cache. That cures a lot of problems. The track is IOW track but we have our own custom textures for the conductor rails which might explain some of the idiosyncracies. Jimi, if he was around could no doubt fix this in short shrift. I've emailed him for help , but being a bank holiday weekend he might be away. Richard is still enthusiastic, but his email points to a work location. Its a shame you've all had a poor experience, its not what we wanted , but the longer we left it the more stuff needed fixing so I felt we just had to get it out there and see if it could sink or swim. My route version on my dev rig works perfectly, which is where I got the VDT folder. If I have to I'll copy anything you guys want from the assets folder and upload it to dropbox , but I'm a bit out of my depth with the range of support needed at the moment. I'm keeping my eye on the thread in the UKTS forums. I'll try and get registered on there so I can post direct from there. Thanks for all your patience and appreciation. It is very uplifting to see.

Holzroller, big thanks for your kind words, I've got the double tail lights issue on the D78 on this PC too, but downstairs it is OK. I seem to remember we had this issue a while back and we fixed it. When you change ends there should be a driver visible at the white headlight end. ie when you switch on the headlights a driver becomes visible from outside the train.
That routine we developed may have got broken again.
Also to get 45mph on the D78 you need to raise both weakfield AND coasting flags for the NR sections. To get 35mph on some sections ie east of Acton Town, for e.g just raise the coasting flag.

The D78 stock when you press the H key it just controls the tail lights even if it press it twice so the headlights don't work and the same on the 73 Stock

The D78 when you press the H key it just controls the tail lights even if it press it twice so the headlights don't work Yep I know that is an issue up here too. We have a custom command that shows a visible driver when you switch on the headlights, but the command has been broken by a previous TS update. We fixed it then , but it needs Jimi's understanding of input mapping to fix. My PC downstairs has that fix, but I can't remember how to lift that info from the sim. I've emailed Jimi for some support. I think he's gonna kill me......................

I dont think anyone will I saw something on DistrictDave in real life it is prohibited to have both on I'm pretty sure that is wrong. Its how the D78 was modelled with the physics. Our DR I/ops and T/ops have told us this info and I also have official LUL D78 driving guides that mandate the use of both on NR sections where there is a 45mph limit to be held. Coasting flag is discretionary anywhere else. That is from the horses mouth. we are modelling circa 2008.

Hi, thank you for this great route. I played the scenario named "B6 Second Half AI (Daytime)". Arrived at Richmond, and after switching cab, I can't restart (I have made Ctrl-Shft-S but nothing). A newbie question: in the real life, Why flags (coast and weak field) are visible from the outside of the train ?

Are there any underground platforms on this line?

Hi, thank you for this great route. I played the scenario named "B6 Second Half AI (Daytime)". Arrived at Richmond, and after switching cab, I can't restart (I have made Ctrl-Shft-S but nothing). A newbie question: in the real life, Why flags (coast and weak field) are visible from the outside of the train ? Hello, The answer is that they are to do with the control of speed and acceleration rates of the trains. They are in fact switches - we refer to them as ‘Flag switches' or just ‘Flags’; if raised they indicate that a particular control choice is selected. he purpose and the effect of each is as follows: If both ‘Flags’ are down (that is they are not visible) the train is limited to 30 mph. Even if the Train Operator keeps the Combined Traction Brake Controller (CTBC) in a position where it is calling for current to be passed to the motors, on reaching 30 mph the motors would ‘cut out’ thus keeping the train to this speed; the train would coast. Once speed reduced below 30 mph the motors would cut back in until 30 mph was regained. If the ‘Weak Field’ Flag is raised (visible) the acceleration rate is slightly increased and the train will now achieve 40 mph before the ‘coasting' effect as described above takes over. There are only certain areas where this is permissible - more on this later. If the ‘Coasting Control’ Flag is raised the train has the lower acceleration rate but will continue to gain speed until the Train Operator returns the CTBC to a position where motoring is not being requested. Potentially the train will get to about 50 mph in this configuration (space permitting!). If both Flags were to be raised the train would would have the potential to reach its maximum design speed - about 60 mph. However this configuration is not permissible he following is a quote from the District Line Supplement on the matter of Use of Flag Switches (‘D78’ Stock): Use of the Flag switch is restricted to: east of Bow Road west of Turnham Green west of Putney Bridge Use of the Flag switch on all other areas of the District Line is prohibited. The Coasting Control flag switch can be used on all sections of the District Line. Simultaneous use of both Flag switches (i.e. Use of Flag and Coasting) is prohibited. The reason for this last restriction is that if running at maximum speed and the Train Operator was to overrun a signal at danger there is a theoretical but minimal chance that the train could (although it would have course have been ‘tripped’ and the emergency brake applied) collide with a train in the section ahead.

A newbie question: in the real life, Why flags (coast and weak field) are visible from the outside of the train ? When you change ends it is important to first Shutdown the cab by putting the traction controller into Service Brake 2 notch, then put the reverser into shutdown position Ctrl-Shft-S. Turn off cab light K and headlights Shft-H. Now change ends and start the new cab by using the same procedure as you would when taking over the train normally. If you applied the handbrake remember to release it.

Thanks for the info on flags 73stocklord ( can I call you Cstock ? ) Yes, all the things you wish for were to be actioned but at least you have the route warts and all. With your knowledge which is quite considerable you would be a great asset to the team and if you would like to come on board you would have access to source material to do what needs doing. I would like to continue to Wimbledon from Putney and to Edgware Road from High St Ken. I haven't got a clue about signalling though. I have access to diagrams for both gradient, signalling and stock performance, driving techniques etc etc. If you are up for this pm me. Richard will build us a C69 and most likely the stations too if I ask nicely. Just as a point of note at one time we intended to include the old version Hammersmith and City line and if you free roam your camera out west ( near to Hammersmith Broadway station ) you'll spot the terminus track and platforms already laid.
To all the people with missing ground textures, when we removed the RW decals Jimi textured the surrounding line areas with a then new UKTS freeware texture modelling pack. If you have missing textures install that and all should be well. If anyone knows the UKTS download number, please post it and I'll include this number with our requirements information on the installation readme.

In order to have a circular logo under TS menus, I've modified the route image: Content\Routes\df59cee1-b6b9-4fd5-966a-1f3437f08a15\RouteInformation\Image.png

OK Cstock, great news, welcome to the team ( all two of us at the moment it seems ) First of all I'll try to add you to the developer board on here which will give you access to a shedload of developer threads and info. Then once you get up to speed of where what and how, I'll give you ftp access to our server. Thanks for the loading pictures everyone, we once had this very nicely sorted until a new version of TS broke it and we never bothered to fix it after that........
HEADLIGHT FIX................. If you download the package again you'll notice a new combined D78_73TS RWP dated 20thMAR2015 which has all the headlight fixes amongst other tweaks as well. I've included this in the new District Line Install folder as a separate download for people who downloaded this before today. Uninstall your 73TS AND D78-73TS packages FIRST. Install combined package and you should be fine now.
Also included in the package now is a Line Information Training pdf too. IGNORE THE HEADLIGHT FIX FOLKS> IF YOU DO THIS YOU'LL FIX THE HEADLIGHT ISSUE alright, BUT YOU WON@T HAVE A TRAIN ANYMORE. OMG. What is going on here ?
DON't UNINSTALL YOUR STOCK YET. I NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON>

Probably, but stop working on them for the moment. The new combined RWP is obviously corrupt, because the whole train disappears leaving a bogie carrier and nothing else. I'm going to lift the stock from my good install downstairs, and see if they'll work up here. DONT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING ELSE YET FOLKS.

No problem for me but I don't uninstall 73TS AND D78-73TS packages. I used winmerge in order to rewrite new and modified files.

I installed it and it broke the train damn it. I'm trying to get you onto Developer status atm. Does your route have trains ? Noting the above comment about winmerge it maybe best to install over the top of the other packages leaving the originals in there. I just checked the good installation and you need to install the latest package OVER THE TOP OF THE OTHER TWO.
