This looks amazing - I’ve just read this article: www.railadvent.co.uk/2020/06/dovetail-games-announce-train-sim-world-2.htmlAmongst other things, it says: “Train Sim World 2 and Train Sim World 2020 are both separate games and will both play independently. In order to bring these improvements to the game and SimuGraph (the physics engine designed by Dovetail Games), the designers felt they needed to bring Train Sim World 2 to the public as a completely separate game. The livery designer and scenario planner do not have sharing options and will be personal to the user at the time of release. However, for current users of Train Sim World 2020, your addons will port across and will be playable on the new game at no extra cost.” Happy days, methinks!

Well that is a surprise maybe you did inspire but I saw a person developing a game on the Bakerloo line maybe he partnered up with dovetail mikesimulation.itch.io/virtual-underground there are videos and a demo. Until we get more details we have to assume.

Until we get more details we have to assume. I had a private email exchange with Mike, who created that Virtual Underground simulator, recently, and I am quite certain that he hasn't been working with DTG on his project and that the two are not the same.

Well I thought that but it was a theory a guess until we get more info.

Looks tantalisingly good. I'd have to buy it for this route alone. Whether they capture the atmosphere ( Emma Clarke ? ) is another thing. I hope so, it looks like the best Underground content I've yet seen for any train sim.

It's the only reason I'm going to buy it. I had written TSW off completely so the announcement of an LU line took me by complete surprise. As for whether they capture the atmosphere? Let's just say I'm not holding my breath. DTG don't try that hard at the best of times, and TSW suffers from the same sound quality issues DTG TS content does. Fingers crossed they actually do it well, any new LU content is good content.

I happened to catch the end of the Q&A stream and they said that some will find the files for the senerios and they not going to prevent you from sharing the files.

Been a little while since I was last on, just thought I'd update the thread with all the screenshots posted so far. Hopefully we'll get some gameplay footage soon. Also I'm back to streaming now (World of Subways at the moment).
I really hope Dovetail do the Bakerloo justice!

Wow those screenshots look incredible. Notice the juice rail layouts over junctions........... this is spot on, the positive rail diverging in both directions. Looks like the best LU content I've ever laid eyes on. I'd say they have burnt a lot of midnight oil to get this level of detail.

Indeed, visually they have done an excellent job. Just got to hope they do as good a job with the audio and actual operation. No excuse for them to not have working announcements when WoS managed it on the Circle Line 9 years ago!

I remember the release as if it were yesterday.

Yep it's mad it's been that long, and it still holds up very well graphically!

I'll have to join your new streams, I really enjoy those and , yes WOS3 does still look pretty good, never mind its 9 years old. Some of the track layouts were pure fantasy, the DR diverge at High St Kensington makes me cringe everytime I see it, but , hey, nothing is ever perfect. The compressor running constantly annoys me too, it is buggy to the extreme, but.........its fun.

I went back to WOS3 one day after driving our stuff a lot and was spooked when I realised they'd got Notting Hill Gate station the wrong way round and suddenly I was heading EB rather than WB.

Yes WoS3 is often inaccurate, amazingly buggy and crash prone but as you say still good fun.
Also a new screenshot from the article about adhesion in TSW2.

Oh nice, might be a touch clean and unscuffed but there is atmosphere there. Xavier is right about WOS3 and Notting Hill Gate too. Yep, they got it round the wrong way. When I spotted that the first time, I actually thought I'd got it round the wrong way at first. Big sigh of relief watching the East London and District 125 video and realising I had it right.

Another new 72 stock shot, and still no gameplay footage! Plus an article about the various motive power in TSW2.
