I recently bought the JT S7+1 addon (it was 25% off in the Steam Store) so I could try the District Line S7+1 T/Op Man scenarios. This also requires installing the Circle and District Line patches (the scenarios will not begin to load without those). However the instructions for installing the patches refer to folders that do not exist in my version of the S7+1. This means that AI trains aren't found and the scenario will not run.
Specifically this stage in each patch installation (this is for the District Line patch):
For the AI train you MUST copy ALL the GeoPcDx files from
RailWorks\Assets\JustTrains\S7+1StockAI\RailVehicles\Electric\AI_S7+1\Default\Engine
and paste them into
RailWorks\Assets\JustTrains\S7+1StockAI\RailVehicles\Electric\AI_S7D\Default\Engine
The first folder doesn't exist, so there's nothing to copy into the second folder (which was installed by the patch). The S8 addon (which I got form the JT website) does have an equivalent AI folder structure but as far as I can see the S7+1StockAI folder didn't exist until I copied the assets folder from the District and Circle patches. So there's no S7+1 AI to copy from or load. However JT's own S7+1 scenarios do load and they must involve AI.
I wondered whether the Steam Store version of S7+1 was different to the JT version in some way, and didn't have the AI folders the patches expect. If so I might try and get an exchange at JT. If not then what is the solution to this patch issue?
My other issue is more of a comment about the manual. The notes about VDL v2.2 Route Guide states that the 378 Overground stock is needed for the VDL Olympia shuttle scenario, but one of the T/Op Man scenarios requires it too and will not load without it. If I'd known this was needed as well I might not have tried installing S7+1 just for these scenarios.
Any help or advice much appreciated.

Edit: By rechecking file properties I've just realised that there actually was a file installed in the S7+1StockAI folder named S7+1StockAIAssets.ap and it's about the same size as the file structure under the S8StockAI folder. Should this .ap (asset pack?) file have been expanded when the DLC was installed?

OK, I managed to answer my own question online, unzip the .ap file and copy the necessary files as per the patch readme files. However I still get the same scenario loading errors.

Hi Kevin, We've not seen these errors before so something new is afoot. It seems the Steam version of the s7 is packaged differently as an AP file, and will work fine - until, as you discovered, you need some files from within the AP package. So you've solved that part. We will make the author of these add-ons aware so he can update the install instructions. Note the train that you still have missing includes "HMC" which means its the H&C train, not DR or Circle. IIRC Ed recently wrote a post citing the Alan Thompson Sim URLs for the latest versions of these various "patches" which provide the DR, Circle and H&C variants. I'll update this post once I find it...
Please read the below. You need the H&C one, assuming you already have the DR and Circle ones. You will need to do similar file copies as you did for the others.

Thanks Jimi, it didn't occur to me that HMC was Hammersmith & City. When the old links didn't work, I had managed to find the District and Circle patches by searching the Alan Thomson website, but not the H&C patch. This was a while ago, before I bought the Metropolitan Line (specifically so I could install VDL 2.2). By that time I'd forgotten I didn't have all the patches. Installing the H&C patch has fixed things, thanks again.
I'd seen the scenario pack download mentioned on the VDL website and was wondering where the link was, so thank you for that too. Very much looking forward to trying these scenarios. The training scenarios for the C and D stock have been very enjoyable already.

Good to hear Kevin - thanks for updating us, and feedback/critique on the scenarios is always welcome. We are already working on some new ones for Phase III, including driving both DR and Circle services (D78, C69 and S7).

Hi Jimi,
This evening I was going through the various scenarios in the menu. Just selecting them to see the descriptions, etc. When I selected "Storm in a Tea Mug" it didn't show the image of the LTD78DM in the selection window as expected, just the not installed symbol. So I tried to start it and sure enough it failed to load, listing the following as errors:
LT D78 Refurb DM
LT D78 Refurb UNDM

No I hadn't noticed that download link, thanks Xavier. That fixed the missing D78. Now I see this scenario needs the Overground AI too, which I knew I needed but I haven't got around to buying yet.

Kevin, you can probably still run the scenario without the Overground train. When the box telling you the scenario has failed to load comes up, hit F2 then select Cancel. Now, the scenario will run , but you won't see the train that was not loaded. Buy the Class 378 when its on sale and you won't have any problems again.
