Many moons ago I wrote a route learning guide for District Line drivers approaching Hanger Lane Junction westbound. Some may find it helpful - or not. Hanger Lane Route Learning

I'd forgotten how hilarious that route guide was Roger.... Thanks for the link.
For those of you who have not been with us that long, the screenshots of Ealing Broadway and Hanger Lane Junction were captured from Jimi Ibetts Virtual District Line beta for MSTS. I believe this is still available from UKTS and was my inspiration for joining the team. We've been at this a long time folks...................

We've been at this a long time folks................... I've lost track, but it must be getting on for twenty years. I do have to accept some culpability for getting Jimi started. He pondered the idea on a long forgotten LU forum, I said "Why not?" and threw loads of info at him. Other LU train crew joined in and off he went.

And crucially, his file keeping skills has meant that not one jot of information has gone missing in all that time Roger. I found your station photos album to be a gold mine once I started building the current version of the VDL back in 2007. We certainly used everything you pushed our way. One moment I will never forget is when my late wife's close friend Debbie came round to visit us. My wife and Debbie both did their LU T/Op course together ( they were both SA's on the Earls Court group). My wife went on to work for the Northern Line at Morden Depot. Debbie became a DR Operator out of Ealing Common.
Anyway I set Debbie up driving a D78 out of Ealing Broadway going eastbound. When we got to Acton Town and stopped, I showed her the outside view camera and flew around the station for her...."What do you think of it ?" I asked . The reply floored me. " Well it's not bad............... but I think you missed a ladder out" That dry humour seems to come from most LU staff we've found over the years.

That dry humour seems to come from most LU staff we've found over the years. When working on the MSTS version I recall Jimi saying that his daughter gave him a strange look when she asked what he was doing. "Planting weeds", was his reply.
