I'm having some problems with the upgraded T/Op scenarios for S stock
* S7 EBY - HSK - WIM (both scenarios) don't have any District Line destination codes on the TMS * S7 ERD -RMD and RMD - ERD are also missing District Line destinations * S7 Earl's Court - Easling Bdy missing assets London Underground S DM and M
I think I have ther new version - I bought it and downloaded it again today. The manual still says v2.1 and the EC manual is v2.2. I also installed the JT S Stock Enhancement pack ths eveing as well (first, before the scenario pack).
Running VDL 3.1 and TS Classic.
Can anyone help to solve this?

Can you check to see if those are credited to the Virtual District Team Kev. You may need to go into the Scenario Editor and check the authors. If we wrote them, it will be credited to the Virtual District Team. The manual that shipped with the E.C pack wasn't updated to 3.1 ( there was only 1 tiny change made to an AI train ) The JT pack shouldn't affect anything.

I'll uninstall and reinstall everything then I know where it's come from!
Is there an uninstaller for VDL?

I've removed and reinstalled Train Sim, DLCs and VDL Stage III but the problem has changed! If I launch one of the T/Op Man S7 scenarios the train key doesn't open the cab. Normally when the key is turned the cab springs into life, but with these scenarios it doesn't. Met Line S7+1 work correctly, but the S7 repaints don't. I have all of the rtequired DLC from Steam and the screenshot shows what else I have: This is probably not a VDL problem, but any help would be appreciated. Kev

Kevin, it's quite possible that the trains we used to put into the scenarios are somehow different in scripting to the new updated enhancement pack ones............... One thing you could try is to use TS Tools to change the player train to the one of the new models. I'm not really a tecchie guy on here , so I could be talking stuff and nonsense. If either Xavier or Jimi are reading this , could you pitch in please ?

I just spotted your issue. You don't have Phase 3.1 installed which is required for the route and stock to be compatible with the Met Line Enhancement pack. You only have Phase 111 installed. Install the update and try again.
Note that once you have 3.1 installed, go to Alan Thomson Sim and re-download the E.C pack which has been updated to be compatible with VDL Phase 3.1

It still doesn't want to behave. I have a feeling that it's very fussy about the order in which things are installed.
I deleted the entire Railworks folder and did a clean install. I installed things in this order:
TrainSim Classic from Steam (including Euro Com asset pack, US Com asset pack, GWML, London to Brighton and IoW) Metropolitan Line S7+1 stock Metropolitan Enhanced VP Track Pack VP Track Pack expansion VDL III VDL 3.1 update UDL C69 + D78 repaint Circle Line District Line H&C Line 1938 expansion T/Op Man
Serious head-scratching time now!

See if you can run the S7+1 on the Met first. The VDL route or scenario is not the issue. If you still have the issue with the Met then contact JT and open a support ticket. They are usually quite quick to respond. And let us know the outcome please. It may help someone else with the same issue. Did you disable any anti virus programs whilst you installed all that lot? Are you running TS as an admin ? You need to install everything with admin rights. Just pointing out what may be the issue. Are you running TS in 64 bit mode ? BTW if you installed the full VDL installer, you didn't need the incremental 3.1 update, That could seriously mess things up. Delete the VDL route d59xxxxxx and the Virtual District Team assets folder and re-install from the full installer ONLY. That is the 3.1 version.

S7+1 works fine on the Met, so I suspect that, as you say, there is a glitch with the JT software. I have a feeling that it's the Met Enhanced that's causing the problem. VDL worked perfectly before I installed that, so I will do a new clean install, without the Met Enhanced and see how I get on.

Well. I installed everything again, except Met Enhanced, and I can now set-up the trains. There is a known bug about the TMS screen showing the wrong destinations, but Celia (I thought she was called Sonia) knows where we are going. I made a system restore point and then installed Met Enhanced and everything seems to be working. It does seem as though it's very fussy about the installation order. The order that works from a clean install is: - TrainSim Classic from Steam (including Euro Com asset pack, US Com asset pack, GWML, London to Brighton and IoW)
- Metropolitan Line (Just Trains)
- S7+1 stock (Just Trains)
- VP Track Pack (Alan Thomson Sim)
- VP Track Pack expansion (Alan Thomson Sim)
- Virtual District Line Phase III
- UDL C69 + D78 repaint (Alan Thomson Sim)
- Circle Line Repaimt (Alan Thomson Sim)
- District Line Repaimt (Alan Thomson Sim)
- H&C Line Repaimt (Alan Thomson Sim)
- 1938 expansion (Steam)
- T/Op Man EC Scenario Pack
- Metropolitan Enhanced (Just Trains)
Thanks for the help in troubleshooting this. Kev

Thanks for documenting this Kev - I'm sure it will be of benefit to others.

Glad you sorted it Kev, these glitches can be so annoying, but you persisted with this really well. Celia was so called because it was known as Communication and Electronic Line Information Announcements. JT actually used the official TfL announcements with recordings made aboard a train in the depot. The lady who did this was Sarah Parnell.
Hopefully at some stage we are looking to implement the same geo fencing app ( which was developed by our own Mark Fox who was responsible for the announcement package in the Met Enhanced ) on the District as well. No promises, but the will is there.
