Enjoying the Metropolitan Line expansion, but a couple of questions.
Doors. When one has stopped at a platform, what then? If I use the mouse to click the Doors Open button, the TCMS shows the door icons changing colour to indicate they are open. Same with the close button.
Does that tick the box for picking up passengers? Seems one also has to click the HUD Load/Unload icon, which triggers the HUD progress bar for that process to proceed.
Goodness me, good speed control and stopping accurately is hard!

Easier to use keyboard keys than a mouse. Shortcuts are:
To open doors Hit T (starts the dwell time) and either U (nearside door open) or O (offside door open). When dwell expires (red line on HUD) hit R to close doors.
The U/O/R keys are specific to the S7. The T key is TS generic.

Thanks, yes. I avoid using the mouse where possible. No keyboard shortcut for cab lights though.
On the lights front, the HUD Headlights icon doesn't seem to do anything to the S7. And I can't find a cab control. So it's almost pitch dark when driving underground. Perhaps that doesn't matter.
The doors thing seems like a weak connection between the Met sim and the base game.
You achieve 'pick up passengers' by hitting 'T' - you don't need to actually use the controls to open/close the doors. Conversely, if you open & close the doors but don't press T, you have failed to pick up passengers.
Appreciate folk taking the time to offer tips to a newbie.

There is no direct control of the headlights - they come on when you turn the key and select a motoring mode (nominally tripcock). Also, they are not really designed to light the way for the Operator, other than fairly close up, but more to warn others that a train is approaching. That said the LEDs are a lot brighter than older stocks. I think of the T key as simply starting the dwell timer, which also ticks the "load pax" checkbox. The S7 doors (U/O/R) are operated separately mostly for the benefit of in-saloon animations. Although there is a connection from the doors circuit to the motoring circuit. Doors must be proven closed and blue pilot light light before you can motor.
In our stocks we trigger door animation off the T key and light the pilot when the "doors open" control goes false after the dwell expires (doors are closed). In the R49 we also trigger the in-saloon (pax view) door animations in parallel. JT just chose to do things differently :-)

There is a rotary cab lighting control on the right below the driver side windscreen. This controls the two cab lights which can both be illuminated by rotating the control fully clockwise. This provides subdued lighting of the cab in the underground tunnels sections.
