Morning all -
Some time ago a friend of mine sent me a video showing a Met Bo-Bo in TS, stating it to be one of the projects the Virtual District team are working on. Since then, however, I have seen no evidence of this loco's existence in TS.
Out of interest, is there any other heritage stock being worked on?

This was started a long time ago and although a Met loco was produced ( Sarah Siddons ) it was never finalised and released. Our 3D cab guru Darren Carter was unable to obtain suitable photographs of the cab and although he did make a 3D cab for Sarah he wasn't happy with the results. The video you saw was made by him to show the loco being worked on. At the current time we have no plans regarding this loco as it is not directly related to the District route upgrade which has priority over anything else. That is not to say it will never be released........... but not at the moment. There is another heritage stock in the pipeline which is related to the District and although it won't be part of the upgrade, it is at a far more advanced stage. Thanks for your interest.

That sounds terribly exciting... I look forward to seeing more! I do recall seeing some R49 stock images at some point, but not sure where, when or by whom.

I would much appreciate seeing the Video if possible. If it could be posted.
Metroolitan BoBo Number 9 was based at Ealing Common as a Shunter for many years and could often be seen from Acton Town North up in the sidings known as the Gods. It was retired from passenger service and not at its best. It was never renamed after the second world war. I seem to recall it was often attached to a breakdown crane there. I think I have a Photo but will have to search for it. Many thanks in anticipation. Mike

Hi Mike. This was the video in question which I created six years ago. The Met 12 electric loco was only in development at the time, hence being towed between two battery locos. The team are discussing requirements at the moment with a view to a possible release with the route. There was also an R59 but only in MSTS. This will need rebuilding from the bottom and there are no plans to upgrade this yet.
PS. If you find that photo, please post.

Hi Darren, Many thanks for posting the video. You certainly have caught the character of the loco. I would love to drive her on the met.But I understand that the cab and controls are not available. Loved the R59 in msts! Have spent some time looking for the picture but no success as yet. I will have alook to see if I have any cab view pictures of a met loco to re wet your interest! Many thanks for your work. Much appreciated.
Cheers. Mike

Richard, our stock creator did a fantastic job on the loco and is also keen to see it released. I have a cab which is basically what is in the video. Not up to my usual standard but drivable. All I can say is watch this space.

Could Richard do a Wartime grey reskin without nameplates as No 9? would be great as the Acton Shunter. Many thanks. I realise you are all busy! Mike

It's perfectly possible. Even I could do it (I've just done the original Metropolitan Railway livery for no.12).
However, it depends on no.12 being ready with the rest of the package by the time we think about releasing.

Hi Xavier, Yes lovelly Bachman loco. I have one. But just like this only a tired look for N0. 9. I always thought she looked rather sad up in the gods at the depot. Mike
